Cucuteni Pottery – Ionela Sandrina Mihuleac

Matres Festival 2026 CIBUM Workshop - Nourishing Art, Nourishing the Earth

Cucuteni Pottery – “A Dialogue Between Form, Symbol, and Ancestral Gesture”

Ritual dishes and altar-like forms

….” As an artist born in Cucuteni, the allure of this ancient pottery has deeply influenced my work. After completing my art studies, I returned to Cucuteni and, in 2002, co-organized the first edition of the Sculpture Camp. Since then, my journey has been marked by continuous exploration and growth. Today, I regularly organize international art camps, children’s workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative art projects. These experiences, combined with profound spiritual and transformative encounters, have shaped me into the person I am today.

I am a tapestry of complexity, woven with threads of curiosity and wonder. My heart has always been drawn to exploring those hidden and subtle worlds that lie within us, seeking to bring their timeless beauty to light in the reality of our earthly lives. For I believe that, at the heart of all creation, lies a pure simplicity and harmony that yearns to be revealed.

”For me, creativity is the breath of existence, a sacred impulse that flows through all things. Art is but one of its many enchanting whispers, a mere taste of the infinite expressions that life offers us.” (Ionela Sandrina Mihuleac)
