"Reflections" starts from the link that was intentionally sought with the culture of the territory and therefore with the Matres Matutae, peculiarities of the Museo Campano di Capua. The Matres, generators of life and symbol of the feminine principle of nature, express a creative and vital force as is the clayey earth, the mother of the ceramists' creations. The Choral Work, a symbolic "Throne of the Mater," is enriched with propitiatory gifts to the primal Mother Earth, as a sign of fertility and abundance. But, as signaled in the base of the installation and the red of the throne's base, it is an earth that to this day is polluted and pervaded with violence. Never before have violence and contamination called for all to reflect. Here are the propitiatory ceramic artifacts, arranged at the base of the throne and on the throne, laden with the reflections and symbolic reinterpretations of the women ceramists, sublimating the current reality with effects amplified by the reflective surfaces.
